KHAP PANCHAYAT, A Big Q: Is it right for Indian Traditional Society?

These days daily in the newspapers &  in the many news channels I m hearing this big questions- whether KHAP PANCHAYATS shud be eligible to take decisions on marriage?
If I know correctly,  this very issue came after honour killing @Haryana. I think its a quite difficult to take any decision for Indian society where more than 60% population lives in villages & a big part of that population believes on different customs, caste & religious traditions.

This very issue is somewhat deeper & according to khap panchayats- even inside the caste, the same gotras shud not be allowed to marry.

Although I believe that these KHAP PANCHAYATS are very important as they work for rural judiciary and solve so many disputes which most probably can't be solved by courts within such a short span of time. But I also believe that KHAP PANCHAYATS do not have right to give fatwa type decisions in marriages. Its violation of some one's fundamental right which allows them to get association on mutual agreement & get married.

I think that our Indian tradition from the ancient time supported the lovers and there are galore of marriages which were inter caste & inter religion. Yes its true that today we are losing our Indian culture but I think that if people are getting more freedom for marriage and association it shud be considered as a progress for society & its a new path which is the most suitable for new younger generation.

Although its little ironic but KHAP PANCHAYATS should chose someother dovelopment issues beyond marriage. They shud not be very rigid on thousand of years old tradition which needs a reformation now. Now we have crossed the 1 billion population where I think gotras dont have any more value.
Haryana is the very state where sex ratio is the lowest in India & they shud think that this is the very effect of these KHAP PANCHAYATS. Yes we need to preserve our old traditions but we shud also omit some evil things which are existing in the society which sopts our progress path & our peace.

Manglore Plane Crash

On 22nd morning as I was getting ready for the Jindal site office & car was supposed to reach hotel @9.00am. I just switched on the TV & came to NDTV news channel. I was shocked to see the news that AIR INDIA flight from dubai to manglore, carrying 170 people got crashed @manglore airport during runway & there is very grim condition to reach the accident place & to start the rescue work. Later I got the news that 7 people were saved & around 160 people died.

I console the families who suffered this tragic disaster & pray to god to give them strength to bear this grief.
I hope that immediate steps are taken to provide relief to the survivors.

PERZANIA: opening truth.

Today after a long time I found time to see a movie. Fortunately I got a Hindi one through my friend at hostel. Movie is  PERZANIA, a 2007 released bollywood movie directed by RAHUL DHOLAKIA. Movie is not only sensational but putforth some serious issues quoted by the director. I don't know whether the movie's background is right in perspective of GUJARAT RIOTS & a Hindu-Muslim blood game but if it is right I not only criticise the HINDU EXTREMIST but these organizations are shame for the India & the whole national humanity. The state which gave us the great Indian leaders from ancient time to today in which GANDHI JI, SARDAR PATEL, INDULALA YAGNIK and later MORAR JI DESAI, TATA FAMILY, RAVISHANKER MAHRAJ can be figured out as international personalities who gave the nation तो pride. But its unfortunate to see such riots are taking place invoked by HINDU EXTREMIST organization . They should understand that India is not only the nation of HINDUs but its of all religions ie HINDU, MUSLIM, SIKH, PARSI & CHRISTIANS. We all fought for India's freedom from EUROPEAN COLONISATION. Our freedom fighters made no difference between any community & they fought together, they lived together and they saved each other time to time.
I criticise such incidents & hope that in future there will be no such religious basis riots in any part of the India. We are a secular country and we hould humbly follow our constitutional rules & regulations.
I am a firm believer of 'Hindu Cultural Nationalism'. In my view Indian National Interest is the 'supreme most' than any thing or any person and our interest lies that we give respect to all religions equally and there should not be any repetition of such horror incidents for which the whole world blame the nation.

Its a shame for Human Civilization

Day before yesterday I found this award winning pic. I am completely shocked to imagine that this can be the condition of any part of the world. Is a shame for such a modern Human civilization where children are facing such a grievance problem. Its a shame for the capitalists world which just look the money and ignore such things.

MNREGA: A successful Union Govt employment generation program

A group of Women working at place in Rajasthan

This act was introduced with an aim of improving the purchasing power of the rural people, primarily semi or un-skilled work to people living in rural India, whether or not they are below the poverty line. Around one-third of the stipulated work force is women.
One of the most distinguishing features of the MNREGA is its approach towards empowering citizens to play an active role in the implementation of employment guarantee schemes, through gram sabhas, social audit, participatory planning and other activities.

The govt. has to continuously ensure that the implementation should be very proper sothat the needful would be beneficiated.

Unity lies in diversity. This is the main theme of India. Every state is somewhat different from others in langauge, dressing and cultural activities but still more than one billion population binds itself in one identitiy & that is know as BHARAT.

Uttarpradesh: Paper leak is a routine affair here

Uttarpradesh has become the home of MAFIAs today and neither Universities nor state govt care about it. Almost every year scores of paper solvers and impostors are caught in entrance examinations of professional courses and board examinations of class X & XII.

Police catch smaller fishes. But after initial action, hardly anything is done to reach the mastermind. As a result, lakhs of students suffer almost every alternate year due to various admission scandals. The education mafia, which runs the seat-fixing racket and is involved in leakages continues to operate with impunity.

Question paper leak of entrance tests and competitive examinations has almost become a routine affair in the state...... when Union Ministry is trying for so many education reforms sothat standard of education in India can be raised & we can match with the western universities. Then such incidents raise the questions on the credibility of Univerisiy administration as well as state education department. In the end the aam adami is suffering...... when the Uttarpradesh will be free from such scandals?

Lucknow University BEd: & Now Paper cancel

As I am continuously covering the Lucknow BEd exam issue, the most surprising although quite usual in Uttarpradesh, the exam now got cancelled.....none knows when the next date will be for exam....aspirants wait & see the bloody game of university with their future.

Who makes his house here?

Today I saw these pics, Is it not quite surprising to see these houses & a shop at a hill road. But it shows that how much they love their mother-land. Their ancestors were living here like this & today they are continuing the same trend although its too risky.

Time Magazine: India's Glory

Its a matter of pride when India's 9 persons placed their names in world's 100 most influential people.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, great economist Amartya Sen, Eye specialist Perumalsamy Namperumalsam, humanitarian worker Sanjit Buker Roy, writer Chetan Bhagat, Indian-America doctor and Harvard professor Atul Gwande, paramedic from Toronto Rahul Singh and entrepreneur Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw are among nine Indians figuring in Time magazine's annual list of 100 most influential people.

About our PM the magazine quotes:
The long history of India boasts many great leaders. But the much shorter history of Indian democracy is already creating its own heroes, and Manmohan Singh, 77, is one of them.

About cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, the magazine quotes like this:
To millions of Indians and countless fans around the world, this act, which caps a career of record-breaking feats, arouses a sense of awe.

The best part which I liked to see Chetan Bhagat in the list.

Shayari: some of my choices

Today one of my friend sent me some shayaris. After a long time it look like I am in a kavi sammelan. Some of them I am writing here.

yaadon mein kabhee aap bhi khoye honge,
khulee aankon se kabhee aap bhi soye honge,
mana hasna hai aadat gum chupane ki,
par haste-haste kabhee aap bhi roye honge!!!

zindagi kisi ki amaanat nahi hoti,
jannat mein kabhi qayamat nahi hoti,
dil bohot sochkar lagana ae dost
ishq ki qaid mein kabhi zamanat nahi hoti!!

Daad chahta hun janaab....

DIN DHAL GAYA, AA GAYI RAAT
AB KAB TUM DIYA BUJHAOGE
KAB TAK APNI SHAYARI K ZEHER SE
HUM MAASOOMO KA DIL JALAOGE

Bekhudi ki zindagi hum jiya nahin karte
Jaam dusro se cheen kar hum piya nahin karte
Unko mohabbat hai to aa kar izhaar karein
Pichaa hum kisi ka kiya nahin karte

Royege yeh ankhe muskurane ke baad
ayege raat din dhal jane ke baad
kabi roothna na mujh se aye dost !
shayad yeh zindagi na rahe tere rooth jane ke baad

kuchh tabiyat hi mili thi aisi
chain se jeene ki surat na hui
jisko chaaha usey apnaa na sakey
jo mila us se mohabbat na hui

wahh wahaaa......plz kehte jayiye.

Mujhe to ye sun ke FANAA ki yad aa gayi.

Lucknow BEd exam 2010: now real TAMASHA started!

As I wrote earlier in my blog that it would be no surprise for me if anyone of left students goes to High court against Universitys' anomalies towards conducting the exam. Today it came in the news paper, now a real TAMASHA will start & the result of the whole exam will be hanged for next some years.....why these kind of things are most evident in Uttarpradesh Universities? Why govt don't take action against responsible officials sothat such incidents/anomalies don't occur in future? Does UP govt is similarly responsible for repetition of such incidents? I think that Univeristies have come in a habit to play with the future of students here.
